The staff was exceptional. They were incredibly attentive to me and my requests. They helped me plan and reserve several tours, responded to my vegetarian needs, and were always pleasant to chat with. The location was away from the bustling cross of the Old Quarter, but an easy walk or taxi to the heart of it. There is a major park with a lake right across the street that I went for a walk or run to start every day (one loop = 1.4 miles). The room was very large, very quiet, had a shower/bathtub, and had a nice table for working. Room service was prompt. Room was cleaned every day. Laundry service was prompt.

The access road in front of the hotel is useful for drop-off/collection as Hanoi is a very busy city and normally you are on the road in front of the hotel in traffic. The Japanese toilet.
